Without even knowing it, you could be giving your pet a better life, just based on the state you live in.
While there are countless loving pet parents across America, there are some states that simply do more to make an animal’s life safer and more exciting.
To find out which parts of our country are best suited for pets, SafeWise gathered information from the Bureau of Labor, the Animal Legal Defense Fund and other resources like BringFido.com. Using this information, it determined where states ranked based on where they fell when it came to anti-cruelty laws, pet-friendly hotels, dog parks and more.
Take all of this and a little number crunching, and SafeWise was able to put out a list of the top 10 states for pets.
