Kate Hudson Performs ‘Glorious’ on ‘The Voice’ Season 25 Finale

Kate Hudson brought her sound to The Voice.

During the Tuesday, May 21 finale, the actress/singer, 45, made her debut on the singing competition series by performing one of her original songs.

Clad in a stunning gown amid a a stage teeming with flowers, Hudson performed the title track from her debut album Glorious.

“It was glorious / Thе times it was the two of us / And if that is all we ever known / Then we’ll take it to the end of time / Oh, it was glorious,” she sang.

On Thursday, May 2, Hudson made her TV performance debut as a singer with her song “Gonna Find Out” from Glorious on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,

In a white tasseled dress featuring a lace-up front, the Almost Famous star sang sang along to lyrics including, “I guess we’re gonna find out/ Oh, we’re gonna find out/ Yeah, I’m gonna find out/ If you’re gonna come up to my house,” in the catchy chorus.

While speaking to host Jimmy Fallon on the show, Hudson said it was the “greatest feeling” to finally be releasing her debut album, which was “two and a half years in the making.”

“It’s like too much to explain… I love music, I’ve loved music my entire life. It was my first love and I’ve been writing music my whole life,” the Glass Onion actress told the host, 49, adding: “I just thought it was something I’d only have for myself until, like, COVID. And then I was like ‘I’ll regret not just putting it out in the world.’ So I did.”

Hudson released her 12-track album Glorious on Friday, May 17, rock, soul, country, Americana and pop songs, which she co-wrote with Linda Perry, 59, and her fiancé Danny Fujikawa.

In her May cover story with PEOPLE, the “Live Forever” artist opened up about how her relationship to songwriting shifted over time.

“When I was younger, it was harder to write more hopeful songs. Now I think I have a better understanding and connection to uplifting lyrics,” she says.

And while she has no plans to give up acting, “I’m just happy singing. I really am,” she adds, “even if it’s to a room of 20 people — I’m very happy there.”
