Daisy Kent is happy to be back with her college sweetheart following her Bachelor exit!
On Monday, May 13, the newly famous reality star, 25, stopped by the Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad podcast where she discussed how she and her boyfriend Thor Herbst have a second chance at love.
While speaking with the ladies, the podcast hosts joked about guys “shooting their shot” at Kent after Joey Graziadei ultimately gave the Final Rose to Kelsey Anderson.
Tilley, 35, and Rad, 36, then discovered that Kent is dating after asking about her current love life.
“What a great name!” the co-hosts said was their initial reaction to headlines about Kent dating “Thor.”
“A very strong name,” they quipped.
According to Kent, her new boyfriend isn’t so new at all. “We dated four years ago,” she said. “Yeah, so a long time ago.”
Kent explained that she and her old flame first dated in college before rekindling their relationship.
“We didn’t date for very long, but we were always really good friends after and our whole college friend group is super close. And then yeah, and then it just happened the way it happened,” she explained.
Kent revealed that it was Herbst who decided to end things, but she agreed that it was probably the smartest move for them at the time, adding that while they were in college, they “just wanted to have fun.”
But once Herbst saw things fizzle with Graziadei, 28, he tried his luck with Kent.
“He reached out and then we — it wasn’t until after the show that we decided to try to give it a go and we’re giving it a go and it’s going good,” Kent said while laughing.
And despite Kent’s sudden fame, she said she and Herbst actually see each other “really often.”
Discussing her social media “hard launch” of her not-so-new beau, the season 28 runner-up said her relationship doesn’t seem like a “big deal” to her.

“I’ve known him for so long. He’s always been like a good friend of mine,” she added.
After a few jokes about Herbst being “very secure” of Kent’s friendship with Tyler Cameron, she also shared that her boyfriend is “very supportive” of her newfound fame.
“I called him before I was coming here. I was just like, ‘I might get asked about it. Do you want me to not say anything?’ He’s like, ‘Whatever you want to share. But if you ever feel uncomfortable, just say that’s between me and him,’ ” Kent said. “So he’s very supportive of what I want to do and all of this too, but he never ever thought this would happen.”
