Taco Bell is putting fans in control of its menu.

On Tuesday, July 22, the fast-food restaurant company announced the nationwide launch of Fan Style — a new in-app experience that lets fans create, name and share their custom orders.

While no purchase is required to participate, fans must be a Taco Bell Rewards program member and signed into their account on the Taco Bell mobile app to access the new experience.

Starting now, fans can head to the Taco Bell app to create their Fan Style, build their ideal order, name it, and share it with the world. The more it gets ordered, the more rewards points it racks up.

The creators behind Fan Style items will receive rewards points equal to the value of their customized item. Fans can also keep track of how many times their Fan Style has been ordered on the My Styles page within the Taco Bell app.

“It’s more than just customization; it’s a way for fans to show off their go-to creations and get the spotlight they’ve always said their orders deserve,” a press release explains.

According to the announcement, select Fan Styles will be featured on Taco Bell’s national menu for a limited time later this year.

The custom orders that land a limited-time spot on Taco Bell’s menu will be chosen based on factors such as creativity, originality, name appeal, and operational feasibility.

Although it is up to fans to make the best custom orders, Taco Bell is also helping a lucky number of fans out on Tuesday, July 29, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., when it rolls out a one-time Tuesday Drop via the Taco Bell app, unlocking a limited number of real-world advertising placements for fans to claim.

“Our fans know every inch of the Taco Bell menu, so it only makes sense that they help dream up what belongs on it next,” said Taylor Montgomery, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell, in a press statement.
