Happy New Year! Looking for a way to celebrate our feline friends this month? Here are some fun January 2020 cat events.
Jan. 17-19: The Acatemy 2020
Are you into boots-on-the-ground cat rescue – or do you want to be? Then pounce on this second annual two-day celebration of cat rescue and the unsung heroes behind it. Enjoy seminars, advanced and master classes that walk you through setting clear, ambitious goals for you and/or your rescue, then providing the skills to achieve them. Plus, you’ll be able to build a life-saving network through social spaces, breakout sessions and informal activities while connecting with event sponsors and feline industry professionals. Takes place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles North Loudon in Virginia. Full speaker roster, networking event details, after-party info and more at theacatemy.org.
Jan. 24-26: Felines, Football & Fun!
Bengals, Maine Coons, Persians, Ragdolls and as many as 30 additional breeds will be at this TICA-sponsored cat show hosted by the Gulf Coast Feline Foundation. Up to 225 pedigreed cats, kittens and household pets will compete in this 3-day competition. Nothing is more fun than watching cats compete in the feline agility course. There will also be a Texas-style barbeque, face painting for kids, raffles, shopping, cat adoptions and dedicated judging for non-pedigreed cats in the Household Pet (HHP) class. The event venue is the Jimmy Burke Activity Center in Deer Park, Texas. For more information, visit gulfcoastfeline.org.
