Kristen Bell stays high — but not on what you’d think!

The Frozen actress, 43, who stars and produced a revival of Reefer Madness: The Musical, opened up about her history with cannabis and how her intake has changed since having kids.

“To be honest, I have not partaken in cannabis minus maybe a gummy or two in the last 15 years,” she admitted to Deadline. “But that’s because I spend every night with my children, and we’re high on cartoons.”

While she may no longer partake, Bell revealed that she “smoked a lot of reefer in college” due to her sensitivity to alcohol.

In fact, during one hazy night in her collegiate years, the actress recalled “getting stoned” in her dorm room and creating “the most brilliant card game ever imagined” during an cannabis-induced “enlightenment moment.”

“[It was] better than Spades, better than Hearts, anything,” she explained. “I put different marker numbers and shapes on all the cards and I wrote down the rules. I went to bed. The next morning I said, ‘Oh my God, didn’t I do something with these cards last night?’ And it was absolute nonsense. But the night before, nothing had ever made more sense to me.”

Bell said that she’s made peace with the fact the world unfortunately won’t get to “experience this brilliant card game.”

“It’s been too long and I’m probably not going to smoke anytime soon,” she added. “But I remember feeling very enlightened.”

While speaking to PEOPLE about the act of kindess, Bell praised the Eternals star for her “lovely gesture” of support.

“She just said she wanted to come out and support,” she said. “Which I thought was a lovely gesture, particularly for a project that is launching in Los Angeles where it’s not the biggest theater community, or it maybe has a different identity than a New York community.”
