Ariana Grande is taking fans along for a stroll at Shiz University!
On Friday, Nov. 29, the Wicked star, 31, shared what her mornings on set of the hit movie looked like in a video posted to TikTok. The short clip featured Grande’s point of view as she offered warm “good morning” and “love you” greetings to the cast and crew.
The singer walked through Shiz University, where most of the movie takes place, before entering a big outdoor courtyard. In addition to production equipment, the set was littered with benches and luggage props. Grande strolled towards a massive pond that surrounded the university before turning around to give fans another view of the movie’s breathtaking set.
“Mornings at shiz,” she captioned the video, adding a heart emoji.
Wicked: Part One, starring Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, hit theaters on Nov. 22. Directed by Jon M. Chu, Wicked has been a labor of love for the cast and crew. The movie is an adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical of the same name, which was originally based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.
Despite the film’s glowing box office reviews, fans will have to wait another year to travel to the Land of Oz and see how Elphaba’s and Glinda’s stories end. In April 2022, director Jon M. Chu announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the film adaptation would be split into two parts.
On Nov. 27, the “we can’t be friends” singer documented a trip to the movies to see the film with her family members — her grandmother Marjorie and her boyfriend Ethan Slater with multiple photos and a video she shared to Instagram.
Inside a movie theater in Boca Raton, Fla., where Grande grew up, the family could be seen holding hands and smiling as they watched her standout number, “Popular.”

Marjorie, who turned 99 in October, was just 13 years old when The Wizard of Oz released in theaters in August 1939. The Grande family matriarch has lived through every screen portrayal of Glinda, culminating in her own granddaughter headlining Wicked alongside Erivo’s Elphaba.
Marjorie also recently appeared as a featured artist on Ariana’s album Eternal Sunshine in its final track “ordinary things.” The feature made Marjorie the oldest person ever to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 back in March.
