Bride Forgets Veil on Wedding Day, Inspires Other Brides to Reveal What They Forgot

The comments section on a woman’s viral TikTok video has turned into a checklist of things for future brides not to forget on their wedding days.

Lydia Claire shared a 7-second TikTok video of herself visibly emotional at her recent wedding, writing atop the short clip a confession: “I forgot to put on my blusher [veil] before walking down the aisle.”

The bride described the forgotten item blunder as the “best mistake ever” in her caption, which elaborated on the silver lining of it all. 

“Looking in the eyes of my loved ones from every walk of life, seeing their eyes filled with tears, and feeling the room radiating with love and support will forever be one of my favorite memories 🤍 #2024bride #nyewedding,” she wrote about her New Year’s Eve wedding.

The TikTok video — which has seemingly resonated with brides everywhere — has attracted more than 1.6 million views, 22,000 bookmarks, 2,000 shares and 1,300 comments within seven days of the bride posting it on Jan. 23.

Many commenters revealed what they forgot on their wedding days.

“I WALKED DOWN THE AISLE WITHOUT MY BOUQUET 😭 I’ve never gotten married before I didn’t notice anything was missing,” one woman divulged.

Another married woman admitted that someone in her wedding party had to make a huge sacrifice for her, commenting, “I forgot my heels & had to wear my maid of honors😅 She walked in like 50° weather on concrete with no shoes for me💙.”

A third person disclosed, “I forgot my engagement ring and accidentally wore my glasses🥲.” While another confessed, “I forgot to do the bouquet toss & we forgot to feed each other the cake 😅.”

After reading the emoji-laden comments, one person fittingly quipped, “This comment section is actually the perfect checklist.”
