Prince William said his daughter, Princess Charlotte, might try to swipe a souvenir he just received on a royal tour.
The Prince of Wales, 42, made the lighthearted comment while in Estonia for an official visit on March 20, where he talked about his daughter during a stop at The Freedom School. The school was founded by the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia in May 2022 in response to the ongoing war in Ukraine, and William was given a friendship bracelet made by pupils enrolled there.
“My daughter will probably try and poach it off me later. She loves these friendship bracelets,” the Prince of Wales said as an official fixed the yellow and blue piece to his wrist.
“Thank you very much, I like the Ukrainian colours. Thank you, that’s very kind,” he added in the video shared on X by royal reporter Rebecca English.

Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, share children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, and their daughter seemingly launched a friendship bracelet craze within the family over the summer.
The little princess sported string bracelets on her wrist when she joined her mom Princess Kate and aunt Pippa Middleton for a girls’ day out at Wimbledon in July, perhaps hopping on the trend popularized by Taylor Swift fans after attending one of the music superstar’s London shows with her dad William and brother George in June.
Around the same time that Charlotte’s friendship bracelets made waves, her grandfather King Charles was spotted wearing a yellow and red string bracelet on his wrist on official trips and engagements. In a style surprise, he even kept it on for the State Opening of Parliament and wore it with his military uniform.

Prince George was the next family member to rock a casual bracelet, wearing one for the birthday portrait Princess Kate took to commemorate his 11th birthday on July 22.
Princess Charlotte and Prince William are known to share a sweet father-daughter bond, and he wore a beaded bracelet that spelled “Papa” during his visit to Cape Town, South Africa for his environmental Earthshot Prize in November.
“Well, this is a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided that she wanted to create a bracelet for,” Prince William told reporters when asked about the accessory he wore throughout the week. “She gave it to me when I came away. So I promised that I’d wear it and try not to lose while I was out here.”

Prince William took George and Charlotte to Swift’s Eras Tour shows in London on June 21, his 42nd birthday. There, the dad and daughter danced in the stands to “Shake It Off,” and the royals snapped a selfie behind the scenes with Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
William’s two-day trip to Estonia is his first-ever visit to the country and his first international tour of the year. He makes the visit without Princess Kate, 43, who shared in January that she is in remission from a cancer diagnosis she announced last year.
While on the ground in Cape Town, Prince William voiced a hope that his wife would be able to join him for royal travel in 2025.
“Hopefully Catherine will be doing a bit more next year, so we’ll have some more trips maybe lined up,” he said in November.

While the prince hinted that Charlotte might poach his new bracelet, he’ll head home with more for his kids. William also met youngsters from Tallinn Lotte Kindergarten during his first day in Estonia, and the kids gave him a stuffed plush dog called Lotte (a famous Estonian storybook character) and a card for George, Charlotte and Louis.
